Requirements

Parental Qualifications

  1. If a child is to be admitted to Trinity Christian School, or is to continue in the school once admitted, at least one parent or guardian must have and maintain:

    1. a credible testimony of salvation in Christ;
    2. a commitment to Christian living and a pattern of life consistent with the demands of the Bible;
    3. present membership in good standing in an evangelical Christian church or a commitment to such membership within a reasonable period of time; and
    4. a sincere desire for the salvation of their children.

      Judgment as to whether there is compliance with these requirements necessarily rests in the discretion of the Board of Trustees.
  2. Parents or guardians seeking admission must:
    1. Agree to have their children educated in accordance with the stated philosophy, doctrinal basis, goals and policies of Trinity Christian School.
    2. Commit to enforce the discipline and behavior standards of the school through the appropriate parental means of corrective discipline and verbal instruction.
    3. Support the school by prayer; by cooperation with the faculty, principal, and school board; by on-time tuition payments; and by willing assistance in practical ways, including tasks assigned to parents by rotation.
    4. Maintain regular communication with teachers so that student progress is monitored closely.
    5. Provide oversight and work assistance when needed to assure that all homework assignments are finished properly.
    6. Provide all medical and developmental testing that is recommended by the staff in order to identify needs and set goals for instruction. Provide correctives and/or services that are recommended as a result of such testing.
Student Qualifications
  1. Kindergarten --
    1. A prospective student must be 5 years old on or before October 1 of the school year.
    2. The child must undergo a developmental screening to help determine readiness for school. The school will then make a determination whether or not to grant admission to kindergarten.
       
  2. Grade 1 or above --
    1. Children must be capable of maintaining course work at their grade level, as evidenced by previous academic work and standard achievement tests.
    2. All newly admitted students shall be subject to testing for proper grade-level placement.
    3. All newly admitted students shall be subject to a period of academic and behavioral probation to assure that satisfactory performance is maintained.
