DID YOU KNOW? WHY INVEST IN TCS? TCS ANNUAL FUND SOME BASIC WAYS
TO GIVE TO TCS

DID YOU KNOW?

  1. TCS was started in 1986 with 47 students in grades K-4 and had an operating budget of $110,000.
  2. Today, TCS has an enrollment of approximately 160 students in grades K-12 and an operating budget of over $1,000,000.
  3. Today as it was in 1986, TCS is a ministry of faith, relying on the gifts of friends to meet the school's financial obligations.
  4. Today, TCS students are not charged the full cost of their education when they pay their full tuition.
  5. Gifts from families, friends, churches and corporations are needed to bridge the gap between tuition payments and actual education costs. Each year gift income of more than $1,000 per student is needed to balance the budget.

WHY INVEST IN TCS?

It is an investment with eternal value, as children are brought into contact with the saving knowledge of Christ. Those who are His disciples are encouraged to grow in the sanctifying knowledge of their Savior.

It is an investment in the Kingdom of God, as children are instructed how to follow Christ and prepare to serve Him in His Church.

It is an investment to influence a degraded culture, as students are instructed through the Word of God to bring a biblical worldview to the labors of life.

It is an investment to serve a hurting and needy world, as young people are trained and enabled to serve the people around them.

TCS ANNUAL FUND

The Trinity Christian School Annual Fund is essential to the operation of the School. These vital, unrestricted dollars support every student by bridging the gap between tuition revenue and the actual cost of providing a TCS education. Each year, all members of the school community - Board members, alumni, parents, faculty, staff, and friends - are asked to support the students and school's programs with a gift to the Annual Fund. An unrestricted gift to the Annual Fund allows the school to meet its goals and direct your money where it is needed most. Please join us!

SOME BASIC WAYS TO GIVE TO TCS:

OUTRIGHT GIFTS

Cash Gifts - Simplicity makes this the most common type of charitable gift. Cash gifts have the tax advantage of reducing your taxable adjusted gross income. Make your check payable to "Trinity Christian School."

National Christian Foundation (NCF).  Trinity Christian School is now partnered with the NCF for donors who want the convenience of tax free giving using a Donor Advised Fund.  To give to the Trinity Christian School Single Charity Fund, click on the following link:  https://mygiving.secure.force.com/GXDonateNow?id=a0Ui000000WJb2IEAT

Securities - Gifts of securities such as stocks, mutual fund shares, or other appreciated assets can be a great tax-efficient method for making a gift to TCS. These may be given either by the transfer of the certificate of ownership or through account transfer with your broker. In either case, you avoid the tax on any capital gains and receive a deduction for the full fair market value of the securities.  In partnership with the National Christian Foundation it is now easier than ever. We are now able to handle donations of stock, mutual funds, restricted securities and other asset based giving at no cost.

Property Gifts - Gifts of property can be made to TCS if the property has been held for greater than one year. Deductions are normally equal to the fair market value of the donated property.

Matching Gifts - Double or even triple your gift's impact on TCS. More than 1,000 companies offer some level of corporate match for their employees' giving interests. Contact your company's personnel department to see if they have a matching program for 501(c)(3) organizations, or contact Matthew Buckley at 973-299-6063 who can search the Matching Gift Registry concerning your organization.

OTHER GIFTS

Life Insurance - For many people, life insurance provides an affordable way of giving significant gifts to one's charity when the charity is made the beneficiary of the policy.

Bequests - A will can formalize the intention and distribution of your assets upon your death. This legal document can identify TCS as a beneficiary for all or a part of your estate. Bequests should be done with the assistance of an attorney.

With any sizable gift, contact a tax consultant and or an attorney to make a fully informed gift.
