Our Values

Rooted in Christ, Growing in Wisdom

All truth is God’s truth- that thought undergirds everything that we do and teach at TCS.Ā  Holy Scripture and what it teaches about God, man, and the world are the starting place for every subject if we are endeavoring to properly instruct students.Ā  To this end, not only are Bible classes taught in each grade, but every other subject is taught within the context of a Christian worldview. Students also attend chapel each Wednesday to hear the proclaimed Word of God.

Weekly Chapel

Each week, every student attends a chapel service appropriate for their age group (K-5th grades, 6th-8th grades, and 9-12th grades). Last year, speakers took the students through Romans 12-15 in a series titled "How Then Shall We Live?" The focus of chapel this year is on the Book of Acts in a series titled "Acts: When the Church was Young." Chapel speakers are generally pastors from local churches represented in our school.

Secondary

Beginning in 6th grade, students embark on a more in-depth study of Scripture and its application to various aspects of life. Sixth grade students learn basic Bible doctrine through a study of the Baptist Catechism, followed by Old and New Testament survey classes in 7th and 8th grades. Students study Church History in 9th grade and then proceed to study Christian Ethics in 10th grade and Bible Doctrines in 11th grade. In their senior year, students will study and analyze various Worldviews from a Biblical standpoint.Ā  Our Bible courses are designed to provide students with a solid foundation and understanding of a true Biblical worldview before sending them out into the world.
